“To allow yourself your own experience is the greatest act of
self-love” -John Welwood

Hello. My name is Alyssa Fradenburg, and my focus is providing supportive, insight-oriented psychotherapy in a caring and safe environment.

I offer in-office and telehealth sessions in New York & New Jersey.

Care and compassion are central to the therapeutic relationship and all relationships, including the one we have with ourselves. The importance of embracing self-care is just as critical as providing care for others, if not more so. We can only affect change in ourselves through awareness, acceptance, and a true sense of well-being.

If you are reading this, it may mean you are considering facing a problem in your life. This takes courage and a willingness to address something real and present. A foundation of psychotherapy is active listening, where I listen to you with care, presence, and genuine interest. I will draw upon my ongoing practice of cultivating compassion and empathy to help you feel understood and validated and move towards a greater sense of well-being.

I offer individual psychotherapy to adults 18 and older.

Here are some specific areas you may identify with:

  • sad, lonely, or disconnected

  • chronic illness

  • self-esteem, self-worth

  • stage of life transition

  • interpersonal/relationship issues

  • struggling with identity

  • easily annoyed, irritated, or angry

  • overwhelmed by life’s challenges

  • Who am I, standing in the midst of this thought-traffic?
